We are
always keen in people with an interest in Shetland joining our Society. Apart from the Hamefarin trips organised from time
to time there are our regular functions that take place throughout the year and also an increasing number of people who have
not had a close personal link with Shetland but who are interested in geneology
Who Can Join?
Anybody
interested in Shetland or in the activities of Shetlanders and their decendants in New Zealand can join the Society and
take part in our activities. By joining in not only do you make contact with current members but we gain as well from new
members participating in the activities of the Society and so making a difference.
How Can You Join?
To
join all we need is for you to print off the application for membership, fill in the details and post that off along with
the membership fee to the Society at PO Box 14-708 Wellington. Alternatively send us an email if you would like furtherinformation
or just find out when the next function is on and arrange to attend.
Benefits of Joining
There are several
benefits to becoming a member of our organization. Our members are close friends and we have a great time when we get together.
Of course we also have a common interest, and we hope to further our cause.
